How it works
When the caller hangs up and the line returns dial tone or busy, the CP-2 breaks the connection so your coupler drops the call.
Inputs: Phone line (Dial tone or busy after the caller hangs up). The CP-2: Detects dial tone, busy or any call progress tone; Adjustable delay. Outputs: Line break (Forces the device to hang up).

More about the CP-2
Many PBXs and a few phone company offices don't drop the line current at the end of a call, so couplers never hang up. The CP-2 listens for the dial tone or busy signal that follows and disconnects the device for you.
