How it works
Each unit sends its inputs and receives the other unit's, over an ordinary serial link.
Inputs: Closures at end A (16 inputs). The Transcon-16: Serial link over 3 wires; Inhibit inputs. Outputs: Relays at end B (16 closures, and back the other way).
