What connects to it

How it works
Each channel has its own low and high limits. Combine channels with IF, OR and AND, and give each of 16 alarms up to three actions from a list of 68.
Inputs: Transmitter meters (Four DC channels), Status inputs (Two contacts or voltages), Program audio (Two channels), Temperature (Onboard sensor). The SiteSentry4: Low and high limits on every channel; IF, OR and AND alarm logic; 16 alarms, 3 actions each; 50-event scheduler. Outputs: Relays (Six, momentary or latching), E-mail and text (Sent from the unit itself), Logs (E-mailed on your schedule), Web page (Live meters in any browser).
Features
- Built-in web server: meters and readouts in any browser, with no Java, ActiveX or plug-ins
- Low and high limits on every channel, combined with IF, OR and AND
- 16 alarms, each running up to three of 68 actions, once or for as long as the problem lasts
- Six relays, 4 SPST and 2 DPDT, momentary or latching, run by alarms or by hand
- Two optocoupled status inputs, triggered by ground or by voltage
- Two-channel audio sensing for silence and overload, stereo or mono
- Onboard temperature sensor, shown in °F or °C
- E-mail and SMS text alerts sent from the unit; logs e-mailed on a schedule in a format you define
- NTP clock that keeps time on its own, with a 50-event scheduler aware of daylight saving time
- Dynamic DNS, NetBIOS names, DHCP or static IP
- Tells you when the page loses contact with the site and reconnects by itself
- Three user levels, from read-only to administrator; the whole setup saves to a PC and loads again
- Free firmware updates, loaded through the web page
More about the SiteSentry4
Keep your old dial-up remote and add the web to it. Wire the SiteSentry4's meter inputs across the channels your remote already reads, and its relays in parallel with yours. The old remote keeps working, and you gain web control, an independent alarm handler, a clock-driven scheduler, logging, and e-mail and text alarms, for a fraction of the cost of replacing it.
The scheduler resolves events to the second. An event can repeat every day for a month, stop, and come back the next year, which is exactly what AM pattern and power changes need.
Up to two SiteSentry4s fit on one Shelf-1 rack shelf.
SiteSentry4S: streaming audio in or out
The S version adds a stream decoder and encoder. It works one direction at a time, and switching is one click. List price $655.
- Receives Shoutcast and Icecast streams, MP3 or Ogg Vorbis, stereo or mono, up to 192 kbps; 128 kbps or less is recommended
- Keeps up to five stream sources, retries them, and switches between them automatically
- Routes a received stream through the DPDT relays to put it on the air when main audio fails
- Sends an Ogg Vorbis stream for confidence monitoring, with ten streaming profiles, with or without AGC
- Shows stream statistics and Shoutcast station and song names on the main page
- Balanced stereo audio in and out on depluggable screw terminals
